Interesting piece on AllMediaScotland and The Herald about STV potentially not showing an adaptation of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights,to which I have to say, bloody good show (I’ve never understood the appeal of these shows and often wonder if they of a predominantly English appeal).

But STV are doing the right thing here – and with a touch of good PR should be able to turn this into a winner. After all, now they have the money to make good shows (Made in Scotland has been a decent show for example) but they can also point out to people that they can watch Suffering Heights by going online so no-one is actually missing out.

Everyone comes out a winner: STV gets to make new content, ITV get hits for their web viewing service and it means that the competition isn’t being watched.
