Right, it’s that time of year when one of the few genuine cultural phenomenons launches – the latest film in the Twilight saga, New Moon. And what do we always get when there’s a new aspect to a cultural phenomenon? That’s right PR and marketing tie-ons, official and otherwise.

So anyone spotted a true howler of a cash in? Having said that, this sort of thing is a creative PR goldmine isn’t it…

  • Cocktails named after the character
  • Dentists talking about how vampires and warewolves would look after their teeth
  • Dieticians talking about what they eat
  • Scientists talking about the biology and if vampires could be real
  • Car sales based on the cars used in the books/films (Volvo? For a cool vampire? WTF?)

Anyway, if anyone spots anything funny or interesting, let me know.
