Might seem a daft question, but if I buy an app for the iPhone do I need to buy it again to install on my iPad? Will the DRM tell the two machine apart or can I run one app on both phones? What happens if I want a book on the two of them? Do I need to buy War and Peace twice?

I have a Touch and an iPhone, and when I download on the ‘other’ device it tells me I have already paid for it, do I want to download it again free of charge, so the store makes no distinction between the two devices, or it does and it doesn’t care, but they do run the same OS. I suspect, the account verification will lead to the same scenario on the iPad

If so, that’s a good PR move on Apple’s behalf…

“Or, if you already have apps for your iPhone or iPod touch, you can sync them to iPad from your Mac or PC.”

    Straight from the Apple’s mouth!
