Headline says it all, the rest is below in an email I sent out to people who had already booked:

Folks, due to a lack of numbers, we’re going to have to postpone Wednesday’s Scottish Social Media Dinner for a few weeks.

I was a tad late in promoting this one – basically because I didn’t want it to clash with the Twestival events last week (well done everyone BTW) as some people had said they can only make one event a month – so the fault be mine (that wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t worked for two Event PR companies in my career).

Anyway, Wed night is OFF.

As always with me though, there’s a Plan B:

  1. Moo Cafeteria is now holding April 29 (a Thursday) free for the first Edinburgh SSMD
  2. Hopefully we can get the same speakers. If not, I’ll let you know the changed via contently-managed.com/blog and @craigmcgill
  3. Anyone who can’t make that date – or doesn’t want to – can get a full refund no problems.
  4. Also, by way of apology, if anyone wants a free half-day social media workshop I’ll throw that in. My way of saying sorry. Just let me know.

We’ll then still have a SSMD in Edinburgh in May too. If the weather’s decent in summer, we could even have a social media picnic during the summer, but right now, looking out the window, I think there’s more chance of a snowball fight :-)

So, as of now, the next SSMD is in GLASGOW on APRIL 21 – that’s the all-Podcast special, complete with our first US speaker – then EDINBURGH for APRIL 29. Bookings for Edinburgh will now be open until April 15 (The Moo team like bookings well in advance.)
