As part of the site content revamp, we’ll be launching a page for the other companies in Scotland who offer social media strategy, skills in services and we wouldn’t like to leave anyone out. So if you offer social media services, please get in touch with the following:

  • Name
  • Address (as in web)
  • Other sites you are active in – Ning, Bebo, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, MySpace, blogs. podcasts
  • The names of at least one social media/digital PR engagement client/activity you have carried out
  • Any other relevant info (including a link to a pic – logo perhaps?)

I’m going to post them all up without comment from myself – though the comments section will be left open for others to say what they think (though I will monitor it for legal issues).

If you are a company which has a blog or is trying to break into social media but so far, are only doing it for yourself and not others, then feel free to get in touch too, but you’ll be in a different spot.

The reason for doing this is two or threefold:

  • There’s a lot of social media chancers out there, charging ridiculous sums. That shouldn’t be on, especially in a country which is quite shy on digital PR activities.
  • There’s also a lot of PR firms going ‘yeah, we can do that’ and they haven’t the slightest bit of experience in it.
  • Thirdly, I fully accept that not everyone out there will want to work with me and if that’s the case I would like to be able to say to people ‘here’s a list of others who know what they’re talking about’ or ‘you might not like me, but these guys – and point to someone – are perfect for what you need.’ I’d rather lose a potential client than see someone completely dismiss the benefits that can come from social media and digital PR with customer engagement.

So if you are out there, get in touch.
