London Fog recently hired Christina Hendricks from acclaimed show Mad Men to advertise their coats. Good call, the lady is in a show from an era people consider classier, the dressing is sharp and she’s very attractive so what could go wrong?
Photoshop.
As the Jezebel page points out by using images from OK (and am I the only one who finds it hilarious that Jezebel has slapped their logo on someone else’s copyright work?) the shots of Christina have been manipulated which takes away from her vital statistics of 39D-30-39.
And punters have noticed. If you head over to the London Fog Facebook page there’s comments aplenty (just as there are after the Jezebel article) but while London Fog are continuing to put up new material (which is good), there’s no response from them on the criticisms posted by others.
Of course, the ultimate question is this: will it stop people buying? Were the people posting those who would buy London Fog in the first place or did they just turn up to pass comment and then move on to the next thing the digerati are talking about?
